Cancer is traditionally viewed as resulting from genetic mutations in progenitor cells leading to uncontrolled cell growth. At CureMeta, we believe that many carcinomas have an embryonic or pluripotent stem cell origin. Our research is driven by the hypothesis that metastatic and aggressive cancers are caused by “reprogramming” or “dedifferentiation” of a “stressed” cell backwards to a primitive, embryonic or pluripotent stem cell state. Our mission is to create antibodies specific for embryoniclike cancer stem cells for development of new targeted drugs to cure cancer.
